Abstract
This issue of Review of Applied Urban Research features "Community Development Needs in Rural Nebraska: An Analysis of Preapplication for HUD Community Development Funds," by Thomas Moss and Michael O'Connor.
Many small communities in rural Nebraska are faced with a wide variety of community needs and an inadequate source of funds with which to meet these needs. This fact was made quite clear in this study of the pre-applications for Community Development funds which were recently submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development {HUD) by small communities in the State's rural areas outside the metropolitan regions of Omaha, Lincoln and Sioux City.
