Abstract

Colonel H. B Hanna served on the army staff, in the Second Anglo-Afghan War of 1878-1880. He encountered difficulties on moving and feeding a few thousand men in the desert of Beluchistan and the Afghan mountains. He believed that an invasion of the British Indian Empire by Russia through Afghanistan was not possible and he addressed it in his book.
