Abstract
The iMobile Platform is a mobile robotic platform that provides equipment and payload delivery in an office environment. By carrying equipment that needs regular transportation, the iMobile Platform will be able to take the strain off of staff members and improve overall office efficiency. This robotic platform will be programmed via a smartphone application over WiFi to follow user-defined routes to various locations. A “home docking station” will serve as the iMobile Platform’s charging hub as well as its return destination once its payload has been delivered. Using sonar distance measuring, the iMobile Platform will be able to avoid collisions with obstacles and pedestrians along the path to its destination.
