Abstract

In recent decades, business intelligence (BI) systems have drawn considerable attention from enterprises due to their capability to facilitate the decision-making process. Thereby, numerous organizations across the world have tried to implement this system. However, many of these BI projects have not yielded the expected results and even they have failed. In response, this study develops an integrative framework based on Resource-based View (RBV) to illustrate the path by which BI implementation can culminate in better organizational performance. The result of this study can help organizations to develop strategies to reduce the possibility of their BI failure so that they are able to reap BI benefits and drive competitive advantage.
