Abstract

This project examines Jewish family service organizations that provide emotional care for children to identify and assess the extent to which they respond to childhood trauma. Two organizations -- one in Omaha, NE, and one in Minneapolis, MN -- have been studied through interviews with child care providers and professionals to compare how they both approach addressing childhood trauma. Current literature was compiled to develop interview questions and establish gaps in research pertaining to religion and child abuse.
