Implosion
Abstract
This artwork focuses on capturing raw emotion through figure drawing. As part of a series of projects focused on the anatomy of faces and hands, "Implosion" attempts to portray the claustraphobia of intense distress. The piece uses ink as a medium, creating a stronger contrast between the shadows and negative space that creates a more intense depth. The vestigial markings from the painting process also contribute to a dynamic and indistinct contour, emphasizing the dissonance and volatility of the subject matter.
