Abstract
Introduction: Since the 1890 publishing of Webbers "Catalogue of ' the Flora of Nebraska," very little has been written about the moss flora of this state. From Webbers original list of 47 species, the number increased to 75 in 1924 (Wolf) and finally to 99 species in 1977 (Churchill and Redfearn). Also, in 1975 Koch has written about the occurrence of the family Pottiaceae in Nebraska.
