Abstract

Written, verbal and visual accounts of man's destructive measures on one another do not seen to detour the violence of war. Yet it is the visual images of a war that have best brought home the reality of war to the American public. This thesis focused on the Vietnam war, the first war where motion and still photography played a decisive part in the outcome of the war.
