Abstract

The authors focus on the student management team concept, which comes from work executed by Edward B. Nuhfer at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Idaho State University in Pocatello and is based on the concept of total quality management (TQM). They cite that one of the key aims of TQM is a driving focus on customer satisfaction. They note that the concept can help prepare students for practicing democracy in society more extensively. They state that the concept provides a good model for public administration.
