Abstract
In this video in this series, Goldstein Center faculty interview leading experts and community figures in an attempt to face down some of the most serious human rights challenges that confront us during this time of Covid-19. The series is a production of the Goldstein Center for Human Rights and UNO TV; both at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The views and opinions expressed are those of the individual contributors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of either UNO entity.
UNO’s Dr. Troy Romero interviews Senator Tony Vargas about the impacts that COVID-19 has had on Nebraska, specifically as it relates to our meatpacking and poultry plants. He also reminds us of current CDC recommendations for how to keep ourselves and other Nebraskans safe. Senator Vargas was recently re-elected to serve on the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 7.
