This breakout session will help leaders understand how their organizations can embed diversity and inclusion through organizational systems which in turn affects advancing the mission and meeting business objectives. The main objectives for the session will be to explore theories associated with inclusion best practices, create a common language around inclusion and pinpoint specific action steps within an organization to challenge and elevate the culture.

Ashlei Spivey was born and raised in the heart of North Omaha. She graduated from North High School and attended Jackson State University on a volleyball scholarship for her Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She then attended University of Texas at Arlington for her Master’s program in Urban Social Planning. Ashlei is the current Director of Talent at local nonprofit. She has a passion for helping her community and challenging injustice. She is the mother of a handsome two-year-old Naasir, and guardian to her sister Yaasmyn.
