Abstract

It is refreshing to encounter a bassist who is willing to record himself performing orchestral excerpts from the standard orchestral repertoire and make that recording available to the general public. For students of the double bass, this CD is invaluable since it is one of the very few CD recordings to date that contains performances of audition excerpts with spoken commentary by the bassist performing the excerpts.
