The University of Nebraska has created the Nebraska University Center for Information Assurance (NUCIA) to establish an international presence in the information assurance community. The mission is to: Develop information assurance professionals through degree, non-degree, and public information programs; Conduct applied research that contributes to the theory and practice of information assurance; and Form strategic partnerships with external organizations in a long term program of community outreach, collaborating on both the theory and practice of information assurance.
