Abstract
SOCIOLOGY student Steve wrote in his reflective journal, "l have read countless articles regarding diversity in America and the many cultures represented in our great nation, However, I had never really understood or had taken in this idea as my own belief until my service-learning experience at the (New York State] Museum, I would especially recommend the service learning option..., I feel it should be required of all students as it teaches many things that cannot be learned in a classroom."
