Abstract

The Seed Bin Climate Control system was designed to automatically control seed bin fans using wireless temperature sensing. The system consists of solar powered temperature sensors on each bin outside that communicate wirelessly to a central control unit inside the building. The central unit consists of a touchscreen LCD interface that allows the user to set the desired temperature of the seed and monitor the current temperature inside. The central unit controls the fans in each bin with a solid state relay switching 120 V AC to start the fans. This project is in progress this semester and is scheduled to be installed at the end of the semester.
