Abstract

There are many structural design programs out in the world, this project was my first experience with any structural design software. The project consists of designing a 3 story hospital building located in Omaha, NE. The software being used is RAM Structural Systems. In addition to learning the software, getting to know and understand the latest ASCE building design code was also needed. Once the software designs the members in the building, hand calculations will be made to verify the software is correct.
