Abstract

NIFA’s Housing Study Grant Program is used to stimulate ideas for comprehensive development plans encompassing housing, community, and economic development opportunities in Nebraska. However, little is known as to whether the grant has been able to achieve and meet the program’s objectives. This evaluation identifies and categorizes data from all housing studies done across the State of Nebraska from 2016 through 2020. Additionally, an evaluation of the outcomes of the housing studies is initiated through surveying all committee members involved regarding the following three criteria: (1) level of engagement, (2) program capacity, and (3) actual changes. Ultimately, this program evaluation hopes to bridge the gap between grant funding and program outcomes.
