Abstract
It is the purpose of this paper to present the results of an investigation of the mental capacities of a group of forty chronic hospitalised male alcoholics, and to describe the special mental abilities and deficiencies that were uncovered by the use of the Wechsler-Bellevue Intelligence Scale.
