Abstract
Providing a quality education for each child in the United States is a goal of every parent and educator. Concern about the adequacy of education of children in the schools of the inner city and schools near the inner city has been voiced in many metropolitan areas including Omaha, Nebraska. Many reasons for inadequate performance by the pupils have been given. Among these reasons have been the students' lack of self-esteem and school staffs' lack of understanding of the children and how they learn.
