Abstract
Problems, like the poor, will be always with us. They beset men of all ages, creeds and climes. "Man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upward", said one of Job's friends as he came to comfort him in the evil day. "Problems are the very essence of living." (2) They do not come singly, as a rule. Neither does the solving of one problem necessarily mean a period of respite, for as man progresses toward old age he exchanges, in a sense, the problems of childhood for those of adolescence and youth, and the problems of adolescence and youth for those of adulthood.
