Abstract
Neurologists claim that maladaptive behavior is the product of a physiological disorder. A moralist believes that an emotionally disturbed youngster lacks a strong value system--especially when it comes to controlling his/her baser instincts. Psychoanalysts theorize about rudimentary conflicts' destroying the delicate balance among id, ego, and super ego, and the need for sublimation.
