Abstract

Much of the discrimination against women in education exists unconsciously and through practices long entrenched in tradition. The Title IX legislation requires educators in the next year, and for years to come, to begin a far reaching self-examination of their total program offerings. Educators should attempt tb identify any discriminatory policies or practices which may exist within their institutions and take whatever remedial actions that is necessary.
