Abstract
Does the Omaha World Herald Provide an accurate and meaningful portrayal of blacks and black issues? In 1968, President Johnson’s task force on civil disorders (the Kerner Commission) published a landmark report on the United States’ race relations calling on news organizations to cover black communities and black problems with greater understanding and in greater depth. (Nelson, 1987)
