Abstract
The word “myth” has gone through significant charges with-in the last half century, and these changes have had a profound effect on the study and criticism of literature. Contemporary literary criticism has construed myth to refer to something that is true. The fact that myth may be used in reference to something fabricated does not diminish this presentation of the word.
