Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to study the out-of-school activities of the seventh and eighth grade children as reported by them, in relation to sex, economic status, race, and reading ability. The specific aim is to compare the activities of children to determine; 1. The nature of the out-of-school activities of the children selected for the study. 2. The relationship of economic status, sex, race, and reading ability to the character of their leisure-time pursuits.
