Abstract
In celebration of Open Access Week (October 21 - 27), join us to learn more about open access and how the library can help you make your work accessible.
Knowledge and research are meant to be shared and built upon. This is the core value of Open Access, and it reveres community over commercialization. Open Access is the distribution of research and creative works with the paywall structure removed, making work freely accessible and available to use world-wide. Making your work open access can lead to collaborations, increased citations, and the development of ideas and knowledge.
Join us for a Lunch and Learn about Criss Library’s Open Access Publishing Agreements and how the library helps make your work accessible. This workshop will cover the basics of Open Access, how DigitalCommon@UNO can make work open and accessible, and the Open Access Publishing Agreements available through library licenses that allow you to publish Open Access at little or no cost.
