Abstract

This is a hand drum recording preformed by Gabriel Mozart Abeyta of the Diné and Taos Pueblo and Navajo Tohjiilee, is a musician, actor, director, and artist (known as “Ugly Pie Art”) living in Sante Fe, New Mexico.  His work is featured at the Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, the Colby Museum of Art in Waterville, Maine, and in Metallica’s 2023 short film “Inamorata.”  He was raised in the arts, as the son of renowned artist Tony Abeyta and fashion designer Patricia Michaels, and continuously creates and performs around the world.
