Abstract
Traveling outside of your native country forces you to have an open mind. There are a multitude of ways people live their life across the world. One cannot assume that others in another country or even in another part of the same country feel the same as they do about many aspects of society. There may be a variety of different customs that may seem weird or make one uncomfortable at first. This forces a traveler to maintain an open mind and learn to be comfortable with discomfort and uncertainty. That is, if they wish to have an enjoyable time where one can experience growth. Meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures can be a very rewarding experience where all parties have the opportunity to learn something about each other, their respective cultures, and/or themselves. If one can understand what another is going through, they may be more empathetic and willing to work together. Only experiencing the culture one was raised around limits their perception of those in other cultures. If one never has the opportunity to travel and experience for themselves what other locations and their residents are like, they must rely on what is available on the internet, books and/or the knowledge and experiences those who do have the opportunity to travel bring back. Sharing one’s experience with those who have not have the same opportunity is an important aspect of travel and more specifically Study Abroad programs. An argument can be made that ensuring people are informed about travel and study abroad opportunities and providing a means of accessing them is an even greater importance. This project is meant to showcase how important experiencing different locations and the people that there can be. This project will also highlight programs like the Gilman Scholarship Program which allow students who may not be very stable financially to experience these potentially life-changing opportunities.

Additional Information (Optional)
A standard 6' table or similar would be great. A monitor to display video and/or images would be nice to have as well. Thanks!
