There are foods that we see on an everyday basis. However, each item has history behind it, and we don’t even know it. The Watermelon is one food that has a large significance in cultures and communities across the world. The fruit’s fascinating origin and distribution from one continent to another helped it grow in popularity. Along the way the melon gained significance and stereotypes that helped define it. Understanding the Watermelon’s past can help us analyze its present day form and future. This online oral presentation will guide audience members to critically think about everyday items more frequently, through pictures, wording, and interactive content.
