Abstract

My chicken breast sculptures act as a metaphor for how women are treated as meat. While different, the fragmentation, objectification, and consumption of meat is parallel to the treatment of women.

My work explores what womanhood and marginalization looks like to new generations. I can reintroduce decades of activism and debate in a postmodern light. I focus my work on starting conversations, questioning conventions, and deconstructing diverse, but shared, experiences of being a woman.

Additional Information (Optional)

My work will be on display in the UNO Art Gallery in the Student Juried Show
