Abstract
Delinquency is a complex problem; its causes are many and varied, and it has no simple and easy solution. The prevention and treatment of the problem of delinquency involves every aspect of individual and community life. Investigations of juvenile delinquency have shown that there are many factors associated with delinquency. For example, available evidence indicates that the heaviest concentration of juvenile delinquency occurs in the poorest districts. Areas of sub-standard housing, crowded by families in the lowest income brackets show the highest incidence of crime and delinquency.
