Abstract
The purpose of this research is to present a historical study of radio station KIOS-FM. A brief history of the development of non-commercial radio broadcasting is included in order to establish a background and make the study more meaningful. Since some of the terminology used in discussing non-commercial radio broadcasting is confusing, the following explanations are offered for clarification.
