Abstract
Introduction: Futurists agree that society and technology are experiencing accelerating rates of change, and in order to survive, it is imperative that individuals develop a capacity to adapt and modify their lives accordingly (Daniels, Karmos, and Junge, 1983). The most salient and pervasive trend within this change is the shift from an industrial society to an information society (Naisbitt, 1982).
