Abstract
This thesis is designed to inform cultural workers and community activists about the impact of linking creative expression to the process of community action in the United States. Specifically, this thesis explores the techniques for using drama as a tool for conscientization, unity-building, empowerment, and organizing for social change. It provides information on the impact of drama as a tool and outlines the processes of organizing employed by cultural workers in Third World nations and this author in the United States.
