Space and Defense

Statement on Open Access
Space and Defense follows the platinum open access model, making digital versions of articles freely available to researchers and the public immediately upon publication, with no fees for authors.
Authors grant Space and Defense initial distribution rights, and a DOI is assigned to each article. Authors can distribute any version of their manuscript including the final published version and are encouraged to deposit the final article in their institutional repository with proper citation and the appropriate Creative Commons license.
The journal permits readers to freely access, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts. As of 2024, Space and Defense articles are published under the default Creative Commons Attribution License, allowing distribution and adaptation with author attribution. Authors are allowed to choose an alternate Creative Commons License for their submission, but are required to openly license their work. Copyright remains with the author.
